Birthday Love

Yesterday the 16th November, bake-a-boo turned 5 years old!! 5 years from the day we opened our door back in 2006. It’s funny that time has gone so quickly, yet at the same time I feel like we have been here forever, and I dont remember life before bake-a-boo!! I also remember that opening day like it was yesterday – it was all hands on deck to get everything ready for our well overdue opening!! My sister and my friends were with me through the night finishing all the details. So many more details have been added over the years!! I just cant believe 5 of them have already passed!!

bake-a-boo was my dream, it took over my life and there have been many difficult times, but I feel so lucky to be doing what I do, and to have created what I have created, I never have any regrets and never wish for anything more. bake-a-boo was my dream, and now I get to live it every day. There’s things I would do differently if I could rewind 5 years, but ultimately what I have learned and achieved is far more valuable.

We are so lucky to have been supported by the local community and for people to have travelled far and wide to come and see us. Just the amount of support and well wishes we recieved yesterday on twitter made me so grateful! Thank you so much for allowing bake-a-boo to continue baking every day!!

I am lucky enough to have a family who supported my dream, and my sister who encourages me to continue dreaming bigger and bigger every day!! I also get to work with my two dearest friends Leon (xxx) and Laura (xxx) – who believe in me and make me laugh – I’d be lost without them!! And the bake-a-boo belles (and boys) of past and present – too many to mention – you know who you are! thank you for all your hard work!

Anyway I will stop blabbing now and get back to making cakes!! But I really am overwhelmed with the birthday love we have recieved and roll on another year!! 5 is my lucky number, so I dreaming big for this next year!!

Speaking of cake – here’s the birthday cake we made ourselves…

Lots of Love,

Boo x
