A round up of our weekend at bake-a-boo……

It’s been a lovely weekend at bake-a-boo, although very hot! We weren’t prepared for the great weather on Saturday, and had to cool down after we closed with Twister ice creams. But we are not complaining, a chilled sweet treat is sometimes the best motivator before cleaning the floors!

Mid-August is always a bit more quiet for us, the hen parties slow down and people are enjoying the last of the British Summer. But there are still plenty of birthday cakes to make. This weekend we baked a chocolate cake for Hayden, ordered by his lovely family all the way from Australia. Happy Birthday! We also baked some colourful cupcakes for Cody’s Christening and we hope the family had a great day.

We like trying out new flavours and this weekend we had some new cupcakes in the tea room, chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel and chocolate drizzle and topped with popcorn. Double yum! Next time we make them we might just schedule a trip to the cinema, or an evening watching all the seasons of Sex And The City.

Let’s all cross our fingers that we get some of the lovely sun this week, although we’ve got some big cupcake orders to get through during the week, if we’re lucky we might just have to spend all our lunch breaks in the garden, with our feet in the paddling pool.

Have a lovely week!

Love from The Belles xxx
